I'm really surprised the Touareg TDI and Jeep Ecodiesel don't get more love here. They're both perfect for us (except for transmission of course).

I think it does. It's an 8 speed though, right? Way too many to shift on your own. I know the Touareg is intuitive enough to where the Drive and Sport modes are sufficient.

Mmmmm, Pug 207 diesel...no idea how it is to drive, but it's French, diesel, and wagon, and I don't think it's as ugly as others might say it is...the d pillar (or lack thereof) is actually rather elegant...

Yeah, it's it an 8-speed. It does seem like too many gears, but I doubt you'd use all of them.
